Gifted and Talented Education

Students at Little Red participate in a resource model program where we pull them out for a minimum of two hours per week so they can receive the support of a highly qualified certified teacher of the gifted.

How services work: According to the National Association for Gifted, the federal definition of “gifted” is: students, children, or youth who give evidence of high achievement capability in areas such as intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership capacity, or in specific academic fields, and who need services and activities not ordinarily provided by the school in order to fully develop those capabilities.” .
