02For kindergarten, ask the campus when fall MAP and teacher-observation screening begins and when consent is needed for additional testing.
03For Grades 1-11, submit the current elementary or secondary spring referral form during the active district window and retain confirmation.
04Provide specific examples of advanced reasoning, rapid learning, originality, depth and need for intellectual peers on the parent inventory; do not coach for a particular test item.
05Request the complete cognitive, achievement, teacher, parent and portfolio evidence considered by the committee and the written consensus decision.
06If appealing, file Level 1 within ten business days and preserve the separate ten-business-day deadline for Level 2; private testing is not considered at Level 2.
07After placement, confirm the elementary pull-out schedule or exact secondary gifted course and how the program will address the student's identified needs.
