Published processAny source may refer a student, and written parent permission is required before evaluation. Multiple objective and subjective measures cover ability, achievement and classroom evidence. The coordinator completes a five-measure Qualification Rubric, and a trained committee of at least three staff members normally identifies a student who meets three of the five measures. All kindergarten students are screened; those needing further evaluation require permission.
Published modelKindergarten receives a weekly 30-minute pull-out. Grades 1-2 and 3-5 receive two weekly 45-minute pull-outs, with the intermediate service occurring during RISE. Middle-school students take GT English language arts. High-school students use named AP, dual-credit and CTE options.
