Published processA parent, teacher, counselor, administrator, student or other knowledgeable person may refer. Entry to screening requires two documented indicators from prior public-school gifted placement, parent input, teacher input, student interest or top-ten-percent subject grades. Screening uses products or portfolios, achievement and aptitude or reasoning evidence; the selection rule calls for superior or very superior performance on two of the three areas. Kindergarten universal screening uses the Kingore Observation Inventory, six planned math and reading experiences and aptitude or reasoning evidence.
Published modelKindergarten students receive 60 to 90 minutes of weekly service. Grades 1-2 receive twice-weekly small-group reading-language-arts instruction plus research, makerspace and STEM experiences. Grades 3-5 receive differentiated accelerated mathematics and English language arts with gifted strategies in science and social studies. Secondary students use subject-specific accelerated, Honors, AP and dual-credit pathways.
