How students are considered
Published processParents or guardians, peers, teachers and community members may refer a student during the annual spring period. The district tests once each year. Its selection profile includes an academic achievement test, a nonverbal logical-reasoning test, a teacher survey and referral anecdotes. A trained committee makes the decision and provides written notice.
What service can look like
Published modelGrades K-2 receive differentiated instruction from trained classroom teachers with flexible grouping and acceleration. Grades 3-5 add enrichment and project-based support. Grades 6-8 receive differentiated core instruction and enrichment, while Grades 9-12 add Dual Credit and other advanced options.
