What the official record confirms
Applicable school year: 2026-27. Bloomfield separates official requirements from our preparation guidance.
Published coverageK-12
Published processA parent, guardian, principal, teacher, counselor, student or community member may nominate a child. The committee looks for a preponderance of qualitative and quantitative evidence, including ability, achievement, creativity, parent and teacher input, MAP and universal CogAT data for Grades 1 and 3. The district says performance near the 97th percentile may indicate a need for service but does not publish every test name and discourages test preparation.
Published modelIdentified students in Grades 2-5 receive weekly TAG service. Middle- and high-school students use subject-area TAG courses. Honors and AP courses are generally open enrollment, although some courses carry a TAG designation for identified students.
