Published processEnrolled students are evaluated with qualitative and quantitative screening, teacher recommendations, authentic assessments, classroom performance and placement procedures. Testing covers verbal, quantitative and nonverbal reasoning. Approved private psychologist testing may be accepted, and students may be referred again in a later annual cycle.
Published modelGrades K-3 receive pull-out and cluster-grouping services. Grade 4 uses pull-out in fall and Alpha in spring; Grade 5 reverses that sequence. In Grades 6-8, identified students may choose advanced home-campus honors or the WAVE magnet at League City or Westbrook Intermediate. High-school opportunities include AP, Dual Credit, UT OnRamps and AP Capstone.
