Written parent permission precedes screening, assessment and reassessment from January through March. Kindergarten and Grade 2 also receive NNAT-3 screening.

Published processParents, teachers and community members may refer students in December. All kindergarten and second-grade students receive NNAT-3 universal screening; students moving forward may take CogAT and/or SAGES-3. A blind trained committee reviews the assessment record and determines the need for services. Parents may appeal within ten school days of notification.
