How students are considered
Published processA parent, teacher, student or another person who knows the student well may refer a student in Grades 1-11. Kindergarten students are universally screened with a norm-referenced test in December and January. The district considers test scores, student-product ratings and teacher ratings; students meeting the district standard on three of five criteria receive G/T services.
What service can look like
Published modelElementary G/T students are cluster-grouped with a trained teacher for differentiated curriculum and attend a GATE pull-out class about 90-120 minutes weekly. Middle-school students receive differentiated core instruction with trained teachers. Secondary options include Honors, AP and Dual Credit, and middle-school plus high-school juniors and seniors may participate in Independent Study Mentorship.

06If identified, confirm the elementary cluster teacher and weekly GATE schedule or the exact secondary Honors, AP, Dual Credit or mentorship pathway.
