Mine Hill gives all PK-3 students classroom enrichment and screens students at the beginning of Grade 4 or later for weekly Grades 4-6 Quest. Quest runs from October through June.

How students are considered
Published processThe review committee—principal, counselor, and enrichment coach—considers nonverbal reasoning, standardized scores for Quest, and parent and teacher recommendations about learning characteristics, attitude, curiosity, high ability, achievement, motivation, creativity, and critical thinking. Families receive an eligibility letter after review.
What service can look like
Published modelPK-3 enrichment is teacher-differentiated in all classrooms. Selected Grades 4-6 Quest students meet weekly from October through June and must maintain regular classroom work alongside Quest assignments.

01Early in Grade 4, ask for the screening, committee-review, notification, and October start dates.
02Submit parent observations about learning speed, motivation, creativity, critical thinking, curiosity, and advanced need.
03Request the nonverbal reasoning and standardized scores plus each parent and teacher rating used.
04Ask for the committee rubric and mailed written eligibility decision.
05If admitted, confirm the weekly schedule and plan for completing both classroom and Quest work.
06If status is reconsidered, request the documented standard and evidence reviewed before signing any withdrawal waiver.
