How students are considered
Published processStudents are typically reviewed at the end of Grade 3 for Grade 4 entry using district and standardized assessments, teacher observations, work samples, CogAT, and Renzulli Rating Scales. Secondary Portfolio, accelerated-math, AP, and academy routes use separate multiple-measure matrices, prerequisites, or applications, with annual reconsideration and a SMILE summer entry point for accelerated math.
What service can look like
Published modelK-3 receives differentiated classroom instruction supported by the G&T teacher. Identified Grades 4-5 attend pull-out twice weekly. Grade 6 combines accelerated mathematics with differentiated multidisciplinary work; Grades 7-8 offer Portfolio English, social studies, and science plus accelerated mathematics. High school offers AP and six application-based academy pathways, many with dual enrollment.

04For Grades 6-12, identify the target pathway and obtain its separate prerequisites, application, assessment, seat limits, and annual reconsideration rule.
05If placement is denied, submit a written appeal to the building principal with the disputed evidence and requested remedy.
06If admitted, map the service frequency and the next transition—from pull-out to accelerated math, Portfolio, an academy, AP, or dual enrollment.
