Your starting checklist

Turn the published process into clear next steps.

Confirm current instructions with the district before submitting. Bloomfield does not predict placement or reproduce protected assessments.

01For Grade 2, ask the school for the exact early-year NCAAT-3 and family-notification dates.
02For Grade 5, confirm which NJSLA administration, final grades, and teacher GATES rating will be included in the end-of-year review.
03Request the complete evidence record and ask how the district combines the measures; the public page does not publish weights or a qualifying total.
04If newly enrolled in an eligible grade, mark the three-month enrollment date and submit a written parent referral as soon as eligibility begins.
05Before accepting service, review the annual contract and plan for two 40-minute pull-out periods per cycle and any missed-class work.
06If a core grade falls to C or below, ask for the probation notice, the next interim-report date, and the exact improvement standard.
