How students are considered
Published processGrades 3-8 take SAGES3 Nonverbal and Verbal Reasoning assessments. The current student profile awards the strongest SAGES band at 90 or above and also considers final ELA and mathematics grades, i-Ready reading and mathematics level, NJSLA exceeding-expectations results, and teacher recommendation. The gifted teacher, principal, Child Study Team coordinator, and appropriate coaches review recommendations. Because the page does not publish a single admission total, families should request the completed profile and committee rationale.
What service can look like
Published modelA certified gifted and talented teacher provides enrichment in K-2. Identified students in Grades 3-8 participate in pull-out classes as well as field trips and competitions. The district's regulation also allows special classes, out-of-class sessions, independent projects, classroom differentiation, and an individualized written educational plan matched to the student's needs.
