Published processFor K-2, a teacher recommendation score of at least 60 identifies a need for classroom differentiation. For Grades 3-8, a matrix combines teacher recommendation, SAGES-3, and spring benchmark performance; Strongly Recommended and Mostly Recommended profiles qualify, while lower matrix profiles may receive case-by-case consideration. Comparable prior-school measures may be used for new students.
Published modelK-2 students identified through teacher evidence receive differentiated curriculum in the classroom. Identified Grades 3-8 students receive both classroom differentiation and two weekly periods with the gifted resource teacher for thematic, cross-curricular, project-based problem solving and critical thinking. Grade 8 Algebra I is a separate acceleration route.
