Published processAll Grade 2 students and new district students receive Naglieri nonverbal ability testing. Standardized and benchmark assessments add achievement evidence in a tiered annual process for the Grades 3-6 globally gifted program. Students must show strength across multiple areas rather than one isolated result; new students may be reviewed off-cycle.
Published modelK-3 PEP teaches deductive, inventive, creative, analytical, evaluative, and visual-spatial thinking to all students; children excelling in those activities may receive fall and spring small-group pull-out. Grade 3 gifted students meet three to four times weekly for 40 minutes, and Grades 4-6 continue pull-out. Grades 7-8 use electives and advanced opportunities.
