How students are considered
Published processAll students not already identified may be nominated each year. Existing achievement data forms a screening pool, after which CogAT measures verbal, mathematical, and nonverbal reasoning; teacher and parent questionnaires add observational evidence. The district describes rank-ordering evidence to select approximately the top ten percent in a grade and domain.
