Cinnaminson universally screens Grade 2 in October and Grade 5 in spring for Project Challenge. CogAT results determine who proceeds to SAGES-3, while transfer students have rolling screens. The broader continuum includes classroom enrichment, weekly pull-out, advanced reading and mathematics, and high-school Honors and AP.

How students are considered
Published processAll Grade 2 students take an October CogAT screener; students identified as possibly gifted proceed to SAGES-3 and welcome letters are sent in November. All Grade 5 students take CogAT in April or May; an age stanine of 8 or above leads to a summer SAGES-3 invitation, with decisions emailed in August. Separate pathways include advanced mathematics in Grades 5-8, advanced reading in Grades 6-8, and Honors or AP courses in Grades 9-12.
