How students are considered
Published processA district committee assigns points to grade-varying evidence that may include fall or most-recent LinkIt, Envision mathematics, NJSLA, grade-level assessments, the prior year's final report card, and the teacher-completed Scale of Performance Criteria. The district states that the scale is an assessment rather than a recommendation. Students who no longer meet the matrix receive one probationary year before continuation is reconsidered.
What service can look like
Published modelIdentified K-12 students receive weekly pull-out sessions with the district gifted and talented teacher. Lessons supplement rather than replace the regular instructional program and are intended to challenge students in their identified areas of ability. Participation is optional, and continuing performance is reviewed annually.
