Published processStudents with the highest accumulated points on the district matrix qualify. K-2 and Grades 3-4 use a cognitive skills test as the highest factor, together with grade-appropriate IXL, HMH, reading-level, report-card, NJSLA and teacher-recommendation evidence. The district reevaluates students annually and requires parent consent before pull-out service.
What service can look like
Published modelK-2 students attend a weekly pull-out after their grade's annual start point. Grades 3-4 meet for two 45-minute periods each week. Across K-8, the program uses enrichment, acceleration, research, problem solving, independent study and advanced middle-school mathematics.
