Absecon provides interdisciplinary whole-school enrichment in Grades K-3, then uses universal Grade 3 InView screening, a teacher profile, and individual WISC-V assessment to identify students for its Grades 4-8 Gifted and Talented program. A separate secondary route covers students who were not assessed in Grade 3.

Published coverageK-3 whole-school enrichment; identified Gifted and Talented services in Grades 4-8
Published processAll Grade 3 students take InView. A local-peer Cognitive Skills Index at or above the 90th percentile leads to a teacher confirmation profile and WISC-V. Admission requires a local-peer WISC-V Full Scale IQ at or above the 97th percentile plus a teacher profile score of at least 42. A later referral starts with a teacher profile score of 42, followed during that school year by the same InView and WISC-V thresholds.
Published modelThe K-3 enrichment model includes English language arts, mathematics, and special areas for all students. The Grades 4-8 program targets spatial reasoning, analytical skills, and gifted or talented ability through interdisciplinary, process-, problem-solving-, and performance-based learning.
