Maine 207's Gifted Lyceum is a four-year Maine East pathway for students scoring in the top five percent on CogAT. Grade 8 students submit fall MAP results before November 1, qualifying students test in December, and families receive decisions in early February.

Published processA Grade 8 student submits or completes fall MAP before November 1. Students scoring in the top 20 percent nationally in both mathematics and reading advance to December CogAT consideration. The Lyceum serves students who score in the top five percent on CogAT, with final placement decisions in early February.
Published modelStudents take enriched year-long courses beyond the accelerated curriculum in Grades 9-10, then two year-long Leadership for Life courses emphasizing service learning and creativity in Grades 11-12. Completing the four-year Lyceum requires at least nine Advanced Placement or dual-credit courses. Eligible District 207 students outside Maine East may attend with family-provided transportation.
