What the evidence confirms
Gifted and Talented Education
The Gifted Education Family Network (GEFN) presents a new opportunity for GT families to access support, information, and connections with other families, thereby facilitating positive advocacy for Texas's GT programs, funding, and excellence in gifted education.
How services work: In addition to providing programming and resources for families, we support the annual G/T Parent Conference at the Baylor Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, as well as other low-cost parent and caregiver engagement opportunities.

State context
Texas gifted and talented education requirements
Texas requires school districts to identify and serve gifted students through a K-12 continuum aligned with the State Plan for Gifted/Talented Students.
For families: This statewide baseline confirms the district framework, not a local program name. Charter and special-purpose LEA obligations may differ.
