What the evidence confirms
Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)
Caldwell County develops scholarship, creative problem-solving, and deep engagement through rigorous, relevant, differentiated learning for advanced students.
How services work: School AIG leads and specialists provide differentiated instruction, enrichment, content extension, and advanced secondary planning aligned to each learner's identification and readiness.
How students are identified: Specialists review data throughout the year and add students meeting local indicators to a search pool. Portfolios combine ability and achievement results, behavior scales, observations, and classroom evidence; all fourth-graders receive CogAT screening.
