Gifted and Talented Education
“Gifted and talented student” means a student who possesses or demonstrates a high level of ability in one or more content areas when compared to their chronological peers in the school district and who requires of their educational program if they are to achieve in accordance with their capabilities.
How services work: The Somers Point Board of Education directs the Superintendent of Schools to take into consideration the pre-kindergarten through grade12 Gifted Programming Standards of the National Association for Gifted Children in developing school and district programs for gifted and talented students.
