What the evidence confirms
Challenge Gifted Program
Rome City Schools serves gifted students at all grade levels through learning focused on creativity, analytical and critical thinking, research, reasoning, problem solving, metacognition, communication, and collaboration.
How services work: Grades 1–6 attend a weekly Challenge resource pull-out; gifted-endorsed teachers also provide clusters at various grades. Middle and high-school students receive advanced-content instruction.
How students are identified: Administrators, educators, families, peers, students, and district test results may refer. A team reviews evidence, obtains consent, and evaluates mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation during published windows.
