What the evidence confirms
Gifted Services / Advanced Studies
Richmond County provides gifted services at all grade levels within an advanced-studies continuum that also includes AP, IB, dual enrollment, and other rigorous pathways.
How services work: Elementary schools use weekly interdisciplinary resource classes and/or cluster grouping. Middle and high schools use honors or advanced-content courses and/or clusters, with AP and IB among the high-school options.
How students are identified: Teachers, counselors, administrators, families, peers, and other knowledgeable people may refer. Screening considers evidence in mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation before evaluation under Georgia eligibility criteria.
