Jackson County provides differentiated gifted and advanced programming focused on cognition, learning, research, communication, metacognition, independence, and individual talent development.
How services work: Students receive at least five weekly segments. Elementary schools use advanced-content and cluster models; middle schools use advanced content; high schools use AP, honors or advanced content, and internship or mentorship.
How students are identified: Eligibility uses Georgia's psychometric route or evidence in three of four areas: mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation. Scores must be current, and family consent is required before service.
