What the evidence confirms

Gifted Program

Hendry County differentiates content, process, products, environment, and assessment around gifted students' academic, social, and emotional needs, using open-ended work, STEAM, research, and higher-level thinking.

How services work: Elementary students receive at least three weekly pull-out hours; middle students take a daily advanced-content class with consultation as needed; high-school students receive at least monthly consultation while using AP, honors, IB, dual-enrollment, virtual, or other rigorous coursework.

How students are identified: After Florida gifted eligibility is determined, the Educational Plan team selects the appropriate program and connects identification evidence to services intended to produce continued educational gains.
