Gifted and Advanced Learning
Gifted students represent all ethnic, cultural and racial backgrounds and they require access to appropriate learning experiences that are accommodated to meet their advanced needs as well as their potential to perform (National Association for Gifted Children, 2018).
How services work: Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) aims to provide appropriate levels of challenge in all subject areas for students whose abilities and accomplishments require differentiation to meet their educational needs.
How students are identified: Students are identified as GATE midway through 3rd grade by scoring on qualifying tests from two of the below assessments: .
