How students are considered
Published processA multidisciplinary gifted PPT uses multiple methods. Grade 3 group assessment applies a locally normed cut score to the state assessment and may identify up to five percent for consideration. Individual review may address social studies, technical disciplines, music, visual arts, or performing arts and requires parent consent. Results are sent in writing, and families have a hearing right.
What service can look like

02For Grade 3, request the locally normed screening result and the cutoff used for consideration.
03For other grades or talent areas, provide work, performance, portfolio, achievement, and observation evidence and return individual-evaluation consent promptly.
04Request the electronic or written decision explaining identification and the district service contact.
05If identified, ask for the feasible individual or group advanced-learning opportunity in writing; use the hearing right if you dispute the evaluation.
