How students are considered
Published processA completed form may include work or a portfolio. The team considers Smarter Balanced, K-10 universal screening, PSAT, SAT, GPA, AP, talent evidence, ratings, portfolios, and performance. The district recommends upper-98th-percentile Smarter Balanced results and Exceeding Benchmark universal-screening results as indicators, but requires multiple sources and written PPT notice. Parent consent is required before individual evaluation.

Teachers instead differentiate with personalized goals, curriculum compacting, course or grade acceleration, advanced resources, grouping, independent or small-group work, and advanced readings, problems, and projects based on the educational-needs inventory.

04Provide written consent promptly if the PPT recommends an individual evaluation and request the final written identification explanation.
05Whether identified or not, use the educational-needs inventory to request specific compacting, acceleration, grouping, advanced resources, or project differentiation.
