Academic Advancement and Enrichment
Hampton combines weekly resource services, cluster grouping, a K–2 talent pool, and a full-time gifted center for highly advanced students.
How services work: K–5 resource teachers provide pull-out and classroom support; grades 6–8 use cluster services or the full-time Kilgore center, with IB and Governor’s School options in secondary grades.
How students are identified: All first-graders take the NNAT and all second-graders take the CogAT for screening. Referrals from families, educators, administrators, or students lead to a multiple-criteria committee review.
