Gifted Education and Advanced Learning
Danville pairs K–12 gifted education with a broad set of advanced secondary pathways, including IB, AP, dual enrollment, Early College, engineering, and Governor's School options.
How services work: The division's advanced-learning continuum includes its gifted program plus the Academy for Engineering Technology, Advanced Placement, dual enrollment, Early College, IB, and Piedmont Governor's School.
How students are identified: Students in grades K–12 may be referred from September through June by families, educators, administrators, community members, or themselves; referrals are processed in two published annual windows.
