Gifted Education

Bedford County provides locally planned gifted services and connects eligible secondary students with specialized regional and early-college options.

How services work: School-based gifted support is supplemented by Central Virginia Governor's School, Roanoke Valley Governor's School, and the Early College Program for qualifying secondary students.

How students are identified: Teachers, families, administrators, counselors, community members, and students may submit a written referral at any time; referred students are tested during the spring.
