Challenge (Gifted and Talented)

Greenville County Schools serves state-identified gifted learners through the elementary Challenge program and specialized secondary coursework.

How services work: Grade 3 Challenge is an interdisciplinary pull-out for at least 125 minutes weekly and grades 4–5 receive at least 200 minutes; middle school uses gifted or honors English classes, and high school provides honors-level services and advanced pathways.

How students are identified: All second-graders receive CogAT and Iowa screening under South Carolina rules, with additional opportunities in grades 3–12.
