Gifted and Talented
Chester County School District administers South Carolina's gifted screening sequence and serves students who qualify under the statewide framework.
How services work: State-qualified students receive locally arranged gifted programming as required by South Carolina regulation. The district's current public testing page does not specify its classroom model or subject schedule, so families should verify services with their school.
How students are identified: All second-graders take CogAT and Iowa during the fall window, and partially qualified students in grades 2–5 may take performance tasks in spring. State aptitude, achievement, and performance dimensions govern eligibility.
