Gifted and Talented

Bamberg County School District provides accelerated, enriched gifted instruction through an interdisciplinary elementary pull-out program.

How services work: Identified students in grades 3–6 leave the regular classroom for an accelerated and enriched program built around interdisciplinary units, technology, research, creativity, and critical thinking.

How students are identified: Testing continues throughout the year for students in grades 2–6, and identification persists across later promotions. A district placement team applies the state dimensions, including 93rd-percentile aptitude, 94th-percentile achievement, performance tasks or GPA, and the automatic 96th-percentile aptitude composite route.
