Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)
Elizabeth City-Pasquotank provides a K–12 gifted continuum with talent development, school-team identification, differentiated instruction, and individualized planning.
How services work: AIG facilitators support tiered work, compacting, advanced content, projects, small groups, acceleration, and independent study; high school adds honors, AP, NCSSM, Governor's School, dual enrollment, distance learning, and advising.
How students are identified: All second-graders receive CogAT screening, with referrals accepted in any grade. Needs Determination Teams consider aptitude, achievement, classroom performance, interests, motivation, behavior, two-year test trends, and case-study evidence.
