Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG)
Moore County integrates flexible, inclusive gifted services into the total school program to develop abstract reasoning, creativity, problem-solving, and self-directed learning.
How services work: Options include K–12 consultation and independent study plus K–8 enrichment and academic study groups delivered through co-teaching or pull-outs; grade or subject acceleration, mentorships, internships, and advanced coursework extend the continuum.
How students are identified: Any person associated with a student may refer at any time. School review teams consider universal-test screening, ability and achievement pathways, portfolios, and acceleration evidence, then develop a Differentiated Education Plan when placement is appropriate.
