Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)
Madison County uses universal screening and multiple indicators to identify giftedness while providing differentiated learning across elementary, middle, and high school.
How services work: Gifted Services Teams coordinate classroom differentiation, grouping, enrichment, acceleration, advanced coursework, extracurricular opportunities, and annual service planning responsive to student needs.
How students are identified: Students may be screened annually using achievement, aptitude, work samples, observations, interests, motivation, and educator or family recommendations. Referrals add another pathway, while ACT measures support high-school advanced-course recommendations.
