Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)
Hoke County provides a comprehensive gifted program with academic, intellectual, social-emotional, and talent-development support across four grade bands.
How services work: Options include cluster and flexible grouping, resource support, compacting, acceleration, independent study, seminars, robotics, coding, competitions, honors, AP, dual enrollment, early graduation, and mentorships.
How students are identified: School Gifted Identification Teams review referrals and multiple evidence sources through district pathways. Records include achievement and aptitude results, gifted-behavior scales, classroom evidence, consent, eligibility decisions, and a DEP or IDEP.
