Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)
Greene County combines K–3 talent development, universal screening, tiered gifted services, and individualized planning to expand access and challenge advanced learners.
How services work: Options include small-group compacted reading or mathematics, accelerated middle-school content, flexible grouping, tiered work, technology lessons, independent study, learning centers, advanced courses, and IDEPs for intensive needs.
How students are identified: All third-graders receive CogAT screening. School teams also use ongoing local, state, and national data, achievement and aptitude measures, observations, rating scales, parent and teacher input, self-nomination, and portfolio evidence.
