Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)

Franklin County challenges and nurtures advanced learners through differentiated instruction and enrichment that develop critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning.

How services work: Elementary services combine primary-teacher differentiation, specialist pull-outs, flexible clusters, projects, competitions, and acceleration; middle school uses advanced mathematics and English; high school adds advanced courses, early college, magnet, dual enrollment, and NCSSM options.

How students are identified: All second-graders take CogAT in spring. Identification remains open across elementary and secondary grades using quantitative and qualitative evidence, and referrals may be made at any time by staff, families, or students.
