Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)

Duplin County offers a K–12 gifted continuum with rigorous differentiated curriculum and services for students in district schools and eligible home-school learners.

How services work: School Gifted Collaboration Teams and AIG staff coordinate differentiated instruction, enrichment, acceleration, and advanced academic opportunities according to each learner's identification and service plan.

How students are identified: All third-graders receive CogAT screening. Later screening combines EOG or EOC results, aptitude, local performance, nominations, and prior identification; educators, families, and students may initiate referrals.
