Academically/Intellectually Gifted Program (AIG)
Davidson County supports gifted learners through school specialists, grade-banded services, enrichment, and advanced secondary pathways governed by its current local plan.
How services work: The district publishes separate middle- and high-school service contacts, summer enrichment, Credit by Demonstrated Mastery, Governor's School, and other advanced-learning opportunities alongside elementary AIG support.
How students are identified: The district provides dedicated identification guidance, CogAT family materials, referral documents, FAQs, and a 2025–2028 local AIG plan; school specialists guide families through screening and placement.
