Cleveland County supports advanced learners from every cultural and economic background through differentiated curriculum and collaboration among schools, families, and the community.

How services work: Grades 1–2 may receive higher-order enrichment and nurturing; identified students receive classroom differentiation, specialist-led resource pull-outs, content extension, and increasingly advanced secondary courses and programs.

How students are identified: Grades 1–2 enrichment uses local assessments and teacher recommendation without formal AIG identification. Formal consideration begins in grade 3 under the district plan using multiple indicators of advanced performance and potential.
