Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)
Caswell County matches K–12 gifted services to students' academic or intellectual identification, achievement, motivation, interests, and individual needs.
How services work: K–8 options include trained cluster classrooms, flexible grouping, acceleration, compacting, projects, independent study, STEM, and competitions; high school adds honors, AP, dual enrollment, early graduation, internships, and NCSSM courses.
How students are identified: School Needs Determination Teams use aptitude, achievement, classroom, observation, and other evidence from universal and ongoing screening. Each identified student receives a DEP, with an IDEP available for needs beyond standard options.
