Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)
Cabarrus develops advanced potential through early talent development, elementary SOAR services, and increasingly advanced secondary coursework.
How services work: Talent Development serves K–2; SOAR provides concept-, project-, and problem-based resource instruction in grades 3–5; middle and high school add advanced English, mathematics, honors, AP, and other rigorous pathways.
How students are identified: A three-step process combines nomination and data collection, published aptitude and achievement criteria, teacher or team recommendations, and a school AIG team's placement decision. Multiple pathways recognize intellectual, reading, and mathematics strengths.
