AIG & Advanced Studies

Brunswick County's K–12 program expands access and opportunity for advanced learners through talent development, identified AIG services, and advanced secondary study.

How services work: K–3 nurturing leads to AIG reading and mathematics in grades 4–5 and 6–8; secondary options include high-school-credit courses in grade 8, honors, AP, Credit by Demonstrated Mastery, Career and College Promise, and Governor's School.

How students are identified: The board-adopted 2025–2028 plan and AIG program guide define placement requirements across intellectual, reading, mathematics, and combined identification areas, with screening windows and deadlines published annually.
