Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG)

Anson County combines early nurturing, formal gifted identification, and differentiated learning opportunities designed around each student's strengths and needs.

How services work: Services include daily enrichment blocks, book clubs, robotics, compacted and tiered curriculum, advanced middle-school mathematics, honors, AP, Career and College Promise, and Credit by Demonstrated Mastery.

How students are identified: Referrals are accepted year-round from educators, families, or students. Universal aptitude screening in grades 2 and 4 is combined with achievement, classroom performance, work samples, rating scales, and other qualitative evidence.
